Where is my information stored?
Friend profiles, diary entries, preferences, prompts, important dates, and managed photos stay locally on your device by default. All local journal features work without an account. Optional AI features require sign-in and show the exact text snippets for your approval before sending them; photos and complete friend profiles are not included.
Managing your journal
- Open a friend to view their journal, handbook, current concerns, and conversation ideas.
- You can edit or delete individual records at any time.
- Deleting a friend also removes that friend’s local records and managed photos.
- You can clear retained AI results or delete your optional AI account from Settings. Deleting the AI account leaves your local journal on this device.
- Deleting the app removes its locally stored data unless you separately restored the device from a backup.
