PinloPinlo Terms of Service

Welcome to Pinlo. Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) before using the Service. By registering for or using Pinlo, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
Pinlo is a travel footprint app that lets you select representative photos from your library by date, mark trips on a world map, and optionally interact with other users (Explore, follows, comments, and related features).

2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required where you live, if higher).
- You must agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy when registering.
- You must provide accurate, lawful information and are responsible for all activity under your account.
- If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you must have authority to bind that organization.
3. Accounts
- You may create an account using Google or Apple (on iOS).
- Do not share your account or impersonate another person.
- Usernames must follow in-app rules (lowercase letters, numbers, underscores, and periods; 3–30 characters) and must not infringe others’ rights or contain offensive content.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, security reasons, or operational needs.
4. Your content
4.1 User content
“User content” includes photos, trip titles, notes, comments, and profile information you upload or publish.
- You retain ownership of your user content.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your content as necessary to operate, display, store, back up, sync, and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for the time reasonably needed to clear backups.
- You represent that you have the rights to upload your content and that it does not violate law or these Terms.
4.2 Upload scope
Pinlo uploads only the representative photos you explicitly select. Other photos in your library are not uploaded automatically.
4.3 Visibility
You may set:
- Account level: public or private account
- Trip level: public, followers only, or only me
You are responsible for your visibility settings. Content set to public or followers may be viewed, liked, or commented on by other users.
5. Community guidelines
When using Explore, follows, comments, and other social features, you agree not to:
- Post illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, fraudulent, or privacy-invasive content
- Impersonate others or mislead others about your identity
- Send spam, malicious links, or automated abusive behavior
- Collect others’ personal information without consent
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service
- Infringe Pinlo’s or any third party’s intellectual property
We may, but are not obligated to, review or remove content and restrict or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Reports, blocks, and safety
- Reports: You may report users, trips, photos, or comments (including spam, harassment, inappropriate content, and privacy concerns).
- Blocks: You may block other users. After blocking, neither party can see the other, and related follow relationships are removed.
- Enforcement: We review reports using reasonable procedures and may remove content or take account action. For serious matters or issues involving minors, also email aperio@koncrate.com.
- We do not guarantee that all violating content will be filtered in advance. For emergencies, contact local authorities.
7. Intellectual property
Pinlo’s name, logos, interface design, software, and related rights belong to us or our licensors. Except as expressly allowed in these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates third-party services (such as Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, maps, cloud storage, analytics, and advertising). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. Advertising
The Service may show third-party ads. Advertisers are responsible for ad content. Tapping an ad may leave Pinlo or open a third-party page at your own risk.
10. Changes and interruptions
- We may update, modify, or discontinue part or all of the Service without prior notice.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure operation.
- Maintenance, network issues, or force majeure may cause temporary unavailability.
11. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of maps, locations, photo EXIF data, or sync
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising from use or inability to use the Service
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or liability limits; those limits may not apply to you.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your content, or infringement of third-party rights.
13. Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in App Settings. After deletion, we delete your cloud data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access without refund (the Service is currently offered free of charge).
- Sections that by nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, indemnity, and intellectual property) remain in effect.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes should first be resolved in good faith through negotiation. If negotiation fails, the Taipei District Court in Taiwan shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
15. General
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us.
- If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
- We may revise these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app or on the relevant page. Continued use means acceptance.
